Non-parametric analysis results

Dear Alfonso

I'm trying to understand the results of the non-parametric tests for ROI to ROI analysis, could you please help?

First, In the result explorer window (bottom table), before performing the non-par tests, I see an [b]X(n)[/b] value that I did not see in the "second level" tab. This statistic represent a network-level result for the seed, but I'm not sure which (in this case my contrast was [-1 1 0 0 0 0 0 1; 1 -1 0 0 0 0 0 0; 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1]). Can you explain?

Second, when I click "enable permutation tests", my ROI-ROI results remain the same. Is there a non-par option for the ROI-ROI (connection-level) results?

Third, when enabling permutations I get p-values for the size and intensity. Size is the number of ROI-ROI pairs that are significant for the contrast. Does the p-value for size represent the chance to get N="size" of significant results for this contrast under a permutation-generated null-result? Lastly, what is the "intensity" in ROI-ROI context? I'm attaching a screenshot of my results.

I apologize if I have mixed some of the terms, I am new to this analysis and couldn't find any instructions...
