Hi fellow Conn Artists,
I have an open postdoctoral position to study Opioid abuse, buprenorphine treatment, some SNPs, and multimodal brain imaging. The idea is to use these data on machine learning algorithms to predict treatment outcomes. The project is funded and the postdoc must be American citizen or permanent resident.
There is a possibility of another postdoctoral position for the same project, for an America citizen or permanent resident that is a member of underrepresented minorities.
The lab (Ramiro Salas) is at Baylor College of Medicine/VA Houston hospital/The Menninger Clinic. Besides the opioid project that is starting now, we work on several projects that include brain imaging, genetics, and clinical data. We are currently analyzing a large dataset of brain imaging/genetics so publications being submitted within a short time is a real possibility (expected, really). The project is funded for 4 years and the salary is within NIH guidelines.
