I want to confirm some analyses that I conducted with the CONN toolbox in response to a reviewer's comments. Essentially, I am looking at how the hippocampus is differently connected to regions of brain across three conditions (A B C).
A reviewer had suggested doing an effective connectivity analysis to establish directionality. As such, I ran a seed-to-voxel gPPI with bivariate regression measures at the first level. At the second level, I then selected my subjects (1) in the subject effects contrast and selected the three conditions (A B C ) in the conditions section with a 1 -.5 -.5 contrast to examine regions preferentially connected for condition A (the hippocampus is selected as the seed). When I look at the results explorer and examine the regions associated with the positive contrast, would this mean these regions are more strongly connected (and in the same direction) to the hippocampus in condition A compared to the other two conditions?
